  I have been a fan of the dark Rye bread for over 40 years. The first time I had it an Aunt of mine toasted it, put butter on it and put the Rye bread and a small fruit dish with pure maple syrup in it on a plate. I dipped the Rye bread in the syrup for breakfast. I have loved it ever since. I tell all my friends to go to the bakery and to get their bread when they are in Ottawa. When I am in Ottawa I buy at least 6 loafs. The last time I bought 22. Love the stuff. It freeze well too.

  Great place to get a variety of pickles. The maple apple fritter and the cinnamon sugar donuts are good too. I hear the rye bread is great.

  Good service. Nice people. Kosher food in Ottawa is always good to have. I got there towards the closing time and they were still really nice to me and made me a great sandwich. Thank you!!
