  Don't get me wrong, the food was absolutely amazing but my rating is this low because of the service. I went into this restaurant thinking it was higher end and as such had expectations that the service would meet up to that.
  
  My boyfriend and are were celebrating an anniversary and so I had made reservations on Monday for dinner on Friday. I was hoping to have received a better table, but we got sat near the door. It was a bit cold as patrons came in and there was a lingering smell of cigarettes - I'm not sure if this was coming from outside or from the waiters passing by. We were greeted very kindly and the waiter was very friendly too but there was a delay when it came to getting drinks. I found that our drinks were running low (or even empty) and it took a while before being asked if I wanted a refill. It also took us a while to get the bill paid for. We both felt that in such a busy place with families around, that we just weren't the priority.
  
  A note on the food - we shared the calamari which was fantastic and a good sized portion. I had the Gnocchi Gorgonzola and my boyfriend had the Penne with spicy Italian sausage. I loved the Gnocchi, and my boyfriend enjoyed his meal although the sausage wasn't spicy enough for his liking.
  
  I would like to give this spot another try in the future - but considering its reputation I was a bit disappointed with my visit at Mamma Teresa this time around.

  Excellent authentic Italian. One of the very few fine dining restaurants that are open later (not sure why restaurants close so early in Ottawa). I have gone 3 times and each time I had great service, a nice atmosphere and great food.

  No words to describe how amazing this place and food is. If you are looking to eat real homemade Italian food you have to go there! Atmosphere and stuff are extremely nice and makes you feel very comfortable. Food is out of this world. 5/5. Highly recommended

  Great food and service.
  Got the spaghetti and meatballs, huge serving, wasn't able to finish, it was delicious.
  Girlfriend got gnocchi Gorgonzola (white sauce pasta) and it tasted absolutely amazing. I recommend the gnocchi. We showed up around 7pm with no reservations, but I feel like we were lucky to get a table, seems like a place where you should reserve a table.

  Went with a group of eight one of them being A 4 y/o. The service was amazing they brought my daughters food out a immediately to keep her busy. The hot and cold plate for appetizers was really good. Then I had the cabonera and cannoli which was spectacular I also tried the sage veal which was also amazing. For dessert I had the lemon sorbet it is served in a lemon also amazing. I do wish they had a larger cocktail menu but the service was hands-down phenomenal
