  I had a very special experience in this place. We went there on a Sunday afternoon (around 4pm) and the restaurant was not too busy. The waiter was very nice and spent a lot of time with all was we wanted to make special combinations for our pizzas. We asked for a pizza with half Alfredo sauce and half tomato and the chef agreed to make if for up.
  
  The pizza was very cheesy and delicious, but definitely not Italian! If you like thick pizzas with a lot of cheese on it, you will very much enjoy their pizzas, they also have their own Garlic sauce!
  
  To sum up, the service was good, but don't expect that if you go there during rush hours. The pizza was delicious but middle-eastern! thick and very cheesy!

  Had the Colonnade Special and Spicy Chicken Club pizzas. The chicken club was excellent, and the Colonnade Special was okay but lacked flavour. I enjoyed the crusts on these pizzas: crispy but not hard. Service was great.

  The Café Colonnade is an Ottawa institution. The best "knife and fork" pizzeria in the city. I've been going to this restaurant with my family for my entire life and it has always been excellent. Their pizzas are fantastic, their service is top notch and very professional (always have what you need, never intrusive during a meal), and their desserts are to die for.

  Ordered some take out from here on a whim but we were not disappointed. The meat lovers is packed with quality toppings and well crafted so the meat stays intact while you're eating it. Seems like a simple thing but so many places can't seem to get it right.
  This place does. The crust is thick but just the right amount of crunchy and not over powering. Considering the amount of meat & cheese on this pie, it was hardly greasy.
  Delicious. We'll be back.
