  Friendly staff and some good smoked bbq meat. We had some ribs, pulled pork, sausage and brisket. The pulled pork, sausage and ribs were great. I found the brisket a bit tough and lacking in taste. This is still a place I'd recommend to others.

  Really delicious food with surprisingly great vegetarian options! The smoked tofu was delicious. A little pricey for the quantity, but quality was great. Mashed potatoes were not amazing - go for the cornbread instead!

  You can get great burgers anyplace but great ribs are hard to find. This is definitely the place for great ribs! Fantastic food and drinks at this casual eatery.

  Day one. It's a beautiful June afternoon, not a cloud in the sky. I happen upon this place and there was a table available on the patio. The server who I later learned was an owner guided us through his menu. Everything sounded delicious but I settled on some Jerk Pork with a side of Mac and Cheese. And​ at the last second added a side of creamy coleslaw.
  
  The Jerk Pork was excellent. Just the right blend of spice, heat and smoke. My only regret is only ordering a 1/4 pound.
  
  The Mac and Cheese was very good as well. Several types​ of cheese melted together with a nice baked on crust. A very good sized portion for a small.
  
  The creamy coleslaw was just the right mixture of sweet to accompany the Jerk Pork.
  
  Excellent food at a very good price. Service was great.
  
  Day two, the very next day During my first lunch I had seen an order of beef ribs being served and I knew I had to have some. So I went back and ordered them. Along with a side of baked beans and corn bread.
  
  Nailed it. That spicy coffee BBQ sauce is fantastic. The smoked beef ribs almost fall off the bone. The corn bread was warm and yummy.
  
  The baked beans, are in a class of their own. Huge bits of smoked meat in with a tangy brown sauce, almost BBQ sauce.
  
  I would go there for just the beans. All other baked beans will be judged against these.
  
  Well done Smoque Shack!
  
  I wonder if it will be 3 lunches in a row!?!

  Whoa. Did not expect to find BBQ this solid in Ottawa. Brisket is up there with some of the better Texas style I've ever had and the dry rub St Louis ribs were also done right. The jerk pork might have been my favorite as it was also proper jerk seasoning. Great selection of rotating local craft beer.
