  Food is amazing. Authenticity and freshness so far the best I've tasted in Ottawa. Services is nice on top of that too! They recommend the selection and cooking method, and very accommodating to children. The place is clean too. Definitely will come back. Update: brought many friends across Canada here and they all agree it's one of the best food they've ever tasted in Canada...

  Horrible customer service! Over 1 hour and our food wasn't ready, or even started cooking it! They lost the order and expected us to pay full price! Can't even make a decent salad - $8 for only lettuce, 2 pieces of tomato. Owner/manager said "That would be very expensive!" (to comp it) - so, you are more important than your customers?!? They don't do the job right, but they expect full payment! Cheapskate owner who doesn't own up to mistakes.

  I can't stop thinking about this restaurant! If you are looking for something unique, delicious and authentic, it's a must-try! I was only in town for a day and stopped here with some colleagues... I wish I lived closer. The fish is displayed and clearly fresh, it makes you feel like you are somewhere in Europe. And i'll have you know, I would consider myself a fry-connoisseur and they made a mark! We had a fantastic family style meal with plenty to go home for each of us. In addition the service was great. I would highly recommend this for an interesting date, family outing or hosting out-of-town guests!

  The service is lacking. At 6pm I ordered fried calamari, grilled jumbo shrimp and a large salad for pick up. In fairness, they did indicate that it was busy. However, when my wife arrived to pick up the food at approx. 6:45pm, the food was not ready. She proceeded to ask a waiter about the order, he indicated that he would check and then never returned. A little while later, she asked yet another waiter who checked and returned to tell her to speak with the manager. So she did, only to be told, the order was never put in. It was 7:20pm by the time the food was finally ready.
  
  When my wife approached the cash to pay, she was expecting some sort of compensation...she was told the food is too expensive. Clearly our time and patronage was not worth that. They did however, offer an insulting $2 off a large salad that was entirely made up of romaine lettuce, a quarter of a tomato and some onion. This they have the nerve to sell for $8. To add to the insult, they forgot the cocktail sauce and the tarter sauce.
  
  The seafood was good, the salad sad but what really ruined the meal was the lousy service, the utter lack of concern on their part and a customer left feeling that there was no recourse whatsoever. Given the price...unforgivable.
  
  Thus, my first ever review of any business ever...truly. I can't emphasize how much poor customer service can absolutely put to ruin an otherwise decent meal.

  Amazing food, amazing prices and excellent service. People leaving bad reviews whine too much, the place is not meant as a fancy high end place, so if you are looking to be treated like it's a classy restaurant you will be disappointed, what they offer is incredibly flavourful food at incredible prices, the service is still great but you will not be spoiled nor are you paying to be spoiled. I have gone too many times to fancy restaurants only to be disappointed with food and consequently with the prices, I don't care to have a $50 plate discounted to $25 when deep down I know that I wouldn't pay $0.05 for it, places like Rayan simply don't have the profit margin to give their food away when mistakes happen so don't expect them to. If you are picky and a perfectionist go to places where you expect that level and pay for it. I have been a customer for over 7 years in Montreal and now I'm Ottawa
