  Just had another super dinner at petit bill's! My friends and I have been several times and always enjoy the food, atmosphere and service! If you've never been, you should go! Thanks Terry and staff! We'll be back.

  I was just passing at lunch and had never been here. I saw there menu and Bill's Burger w/ spicy peppers and onions caught my eye. The peppers and onions looked fried and very crunchy, unfortunately they weren't as spicy as I had expected. Definitely worth trying. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

  I've long wanted to try Petit Bill's and finally did last week.
  
  I'll start with the positives...
  
  Excellent, friendly, fast service.
  The place itself is cozy and inviting.
  The owner is onsite and very available.
  Awesome cocktail list.
  The bread and compound butter were tasty.
  
  The not as positives...
  
  It's too expensive for what is provided. If you are going to be charging $15 for apps and $35 for mains, it should be better than "decent".
  
  The Partridge berry gastrique had way too much chervil and teragon. A little goes a long way, and a lot is just unpleasant.
  
  The "Jiggs Dinner spring roll" was more like Sunday dinner. Turkey and savory dressing are not part of any Jiggs I've ever had.
  
  My fish and chips was good, but too many fries and too little fish for $22. The accompanying basil salad/coleslaw was just weird and didn't work at all.
  
  The Bouliabaisse was good, and a HUGE bowl, but again, too heavy on the herbs de Provence, and a few sandy clams.
  
  The cocktails are overpriced, though to be fair, I feel that cocktails everywhere are over priced.
  
  The wine list, unless I'm mistaken, were solely VQA choices, and about $14 per 8oz glass.
  
  Overall it did not meet my expectations. I'm glad I finally got there, but likely won't be back.

  Incredible. One of the best hidden gems in Ottawa. Look, I'm a food snob and have eaten at many of the top 100 rated restaurants in Canada and this place will be on the list shortly. If you want authentic, high end bistro food with some east coast Canadian flare, this is your spot. These guys can cook their butts off and the cocktails are like science experiments with homaid elixirs. LOVE this place...
