  The brew pub is pretty great overall. They have multiple patios, great service, a really nice selection of beers and drinks. A somewhat limited food menu but quality meals. Not just plain pub food! And plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend it if you've never been.

  Went for a group lunch from work. We were 7 of us, took them over an hour to serve us. Their excuse was that there was another big party upstairs which caused the delay. We had made a reservation in advance, so their excuse did not cut it as it is an indication of poor planning. The place was very busy. Their servers were very pleasant and the ambiance was pretty good. Food was mediocre, the Montreal smoked sandwich came in soggy, the Malaysian chicken curry was less Malaysian and more Indian. My colleague liked the elk burger.

  When comparing mill street to the other breweries that have a pub in Ottawa they are one of the top ones. The beer is good when compared to macro breweries. But when comparing to microbreweries, mill st is at the bottom of my list. The rootbeer is where they come on top. Out of the many ive I tried there root beer is by far the best. The food here is standard pub food and pairs well with the beer selection.

  I loved the juxtaposition of the modern pub with the ruins of the mill around it. It made for some great views while eating dinner.
  
  All of the food was excellent (I loved my Braised Beef Dip, but regretted not getting the tourtière after seeing it), and it kind of felt like you weren't in a city anymore, once you were down near the water. There seemed to be a lot of open space, if you were bringing a group with you.

  Good beers on tap. Food was great until it was taken over by a big brewery. Now its just OK pub food with good beers. Building is worth a visit all on its own though.
