  My boyfriend and I have been going there for awhile now. The staff is always friendly and welcoming when we come in. I have never had a problem with their food at their restaurant. They do hire new people often but just be patient and don't rush them if you don't want your order wrong.. they are learning. I'm on the other side of town and when we crave an awesome shawarma, Garlic King is where we go! A thanks to the owner for making such a great place to eat :)

  Totally agree with Timothy Wright's review. Was there yesterday for the first and last time. Employees never washes their bare hands, they are restricted to very limited quantities from the boss, and the fatoush was terrible adding the fact that it was mixed directly in the plastic container that did not seem clean and exposed to staff walking close nearby. And strangely enough, the dining room was completely empty even at dinner time. Highly not recommended.

  I have been going there ever since Adel had a tiny takeout on St-Joseph. What brought me back is rather simple; the food, and the service. What many people do not know is that all the food is prepared and marinated in house with the exception of the bread and I think one hot sauce. All the sauces and marinades are his creation, and it shows in the taste. If you expect instant service, be there early. Lineups happen often. The plate sizes are on the generous to enormous levels. I eat very well on a small plate. Needless to say everything is fresh made. Yes, I travel all the way from Gatineau to go there regularly.

  We don't usually review restaurants but in this case we have to be heard.
  Why people need to lie and try to put others down is just a mean thing to do.
  
  We and our family have been going to the Garlic King for many years.
  Without a doubt it is the cleanest and friendliest place we have ever eaten at.
  We had the family platter this week
  The portion is always the same 1 lb. Of mixed shawarma meat.
  Rice garlic potatoes and whatever side choices we want along with a container the best garlic (one of us has a severe reaction to eggs, No Eggs in the Garlic)
  never been sick after eating at the Garlic King.
  The decorations are fun light.
  The restrooms are always clean and pleasant.
  5 stars is too low of a mark for the quantity and quality of food you receive.
  
  If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton than stay away but if you are looking for great food and service at a price that won't put a dent in your budget, this is the best place to go.
