  While visiting Ottawa we enjoyed a fabulous meal at Taj Mahal. Our server recommended the right amount of food for two as well as a balanced combination of flavours. The chicken and lamb dishes recommended were plentiful and delicious. I thought one piece of made on the spot hot melt in your mouth naan would not be enough...but is was!!! Thank you to our server and To the chef ...a chef who has been cooking at this same restaurant for about 20 years...now that allows for consistently fab food!

  Service was very slow - took an hour and 20 minutes to get our meal. Ordered coffee to begin with and had to remind them 3 times and finally got it with the meal. Party of 9 ordered after us and for served first. When we finally got our meal it was not that flavorful.

  Friendly and professional staff serve barely mediocre flavours. Astonished as the Taj Mahal came highly recommended as the Indian cuisine in the Glebe. It fell short. Tomato based dishes resounded around a half can'a worth of tomato paste, as main ingredient, without trace of spice blends. This was a lazy tomato soup at best. The closest one will get to any of the staple flavours is by the front door where spices are displayed behind glass. Assured the owners love a very dry martini as you merely have to show the vermouth to the glass, or be in the same room for the affect, this food takes such process too far.

  I ordered food through Uber Eats tonight from Taj Mahal. The driver brought out a leaking bag of mess. I looked inside and saw all 3 containers lying on their sides. The hot food was spilling out and I looked at the driver. Shawn the driver said to call the restaurant acknowledging the mess. He said he did not understand why the restaurant packed the containers on their sides. I hurried upstairs with the leaking bag and opened it in my kitchen sink. It was a mess! I called the restaurant after cleaning up to explain and ask how this is not a meal and not worth the $42.00 just paid. Instead of trying to understand, the gentleman that answered the phone began to argue with me, stating that he has been packing food for thousands of customers and to send the food back. How do I do that when I don't have a car and do I return half empty messy containers and the bag that was torn and leaking?? Then he accused me of not complaining to Uber!?!? He even implied that I am contriving this incident. Incredulous! Waste of money, messy food that I can't even eat as it spilled out... This is far from professional and it got worse as the Taj Mahal person insisted on his years of service and not offering a solution. Then the call ended, realizing that he hung up on me. I will never order from this establishment again as it was not professional or respectful to this customer.

  Food is great and staff is very friendly. Giving it 4 stars because its hours are a bit strange. I've tried to 2 or 3 times before a football game and they weren't open yet.
