  I have eaten at OpenRice many times and my experience is always memorable. I find this restaurant to be top notch: delicious food, served fresh and piping hot, in a nice, polished and modern decor with friendly service. I look forward to my next outing which I have planned already.

  Not sure what others below are talking about. Micheal runs a tight ship, food is spectacular, and prepared well. I have eaten here over 100 times (Mostly take out for lunch) and I will always be back. Remember, treat others, how you would like to be treated, and you will have a great experience...Five stars For Open Rice.

  A group of co-workers and myself went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, there were 14 of us. While I don't think any of us were thinking that we were going to be out of there within 30 minutes it took over an hour and a half for all dishes to be delivered. There was an issue with four of the orders that were brought out. The server mixed up the plates and brought the wrong dishes to people. The four people who had mix ups with their orders were originally charged full price and when we asked about a discount for those four people they were given 10%. The people who received the wrong meals were not even able to eat any of it at the restaurant as we were approaching almost two hours. They took the meals to go. Our server kept saying that she was new, but didn't really offer an apology. The manager did not address the situation himself and seemed to be upset with the people who had received the wrong dishes though it was not their fault.
  
  The situation could have been handled much better and with more. They did not seem to really care about their mistakes or making sure the group was leaving happy. For this reason none we will not be going back.

  Ate here 3 dinners in a row, as I was in Ottawa for work.
  Food: was awesome. In particular, I highly recommend:
  1. The papaya salad, just amazing
  2. Basil seafood delight
  Service: good, not fantastic, but it's not the Ritz
  Atmosphere: good, feels kinda like a lounge, better than most Asian restaurants. Just one evening the music degraded to an asian-french techno-pop close to 10pm, but the rest of the time it was great.
  Value: good. For ~25$ you get a salad/appy and a main. Worth it.
