  I don't understand all the low ratings for this place they have been amazing everything we have eaten here. Their food is very authentic Indian food. The customer service is amazing. Always been so welcome and helpful. Chillies is definitely our go-to Indian restaurant in Ottawa

  I was visiting Ottawa with family and was searching for nice halal restaurant and came across this place. The staff was courteous and welcoming. The kids wanted American Chopsuey($12.49) and to my surprise when it arrived my kids were literally searching for crisp noodles. I asked the waiter and he answered it's under the soup. There were hardly any noodles and the portion was ridiculously small (not even above the plate level). Had to order chicken manchurian($14.99) and it was not too different, the taste of Chinese was totally ruined. We then ordered vegetable fried rice($6.99) and that was only the size of a small bowl and for butter chicken ($15.99). For all of the above I was charged ridiculously high price and still not justified for the portions served. We were very disappointed and dissatisfied with the food. I wished I should have read some more reviews before making it to this place. I have noticed few customers who sat and looked at the prices and just walked away. I suggest that the management would pay attention to reviews so that they can improve their quality and quantity and justify their service for the prices offered. Until the management has not responded to this review I strongly refuse to dine at this place.

  I've ordered take out from here three times and each time has been excellent. I've tried almost all of the curries and they are delicious. Highly recommend!!!!

  Just ate from the Hakka menu. It was the worst I have ever had. The spring rolls were old mushy veggies in WonTon rappers, the manchurian gobi was burnt in some watery sauce, the veggie fried rice was hard (as in not cooked) and finally the szechuan chicken was undescribable. I will never go back.
