  I was drawn in by the art deco decor passing by in my car. I finally went and it is the best fish and chips experience I've had in this city.
  
  I also got take out for my wife and the batter was not at all soggy when I got home.
  
  There's no need to go on about the food itself because it is perfect. The chips are delicious too and often many chippies fall down in this area. Staff are very very friendly always smiling . So kid friendly it's ridiculous. They actually have colouring books for your kids.
  
  I really loved this place and really enjoyed the amazing Fish and chips.

  We came on a busy Friday night. The service was great as always.
  I'm Celiac and most menu items are available as gluten-free. And you would never know. There are different batters available for the gluten eaters.
  I would definitely recommend this place to any fan of fish and chips. You'll think you're in a cozy fishing house on the east coast.

  Cat's fish and chips is one of my favorite restaurants! I was never a big fan of fish but this place changed my mind. The haddock is amazing both regular batter and gluten free. The plates are good size portions and everything is always cooked to perfection. The management and the wait staff are all equally friendly and professional. Would definitely reccomend.

  The manager Sam has no sense of empathy for his customers, he did not care that he had gotten me very ill through delivering me a non gluten free basket of fish, even though I ordered a GLUTEN FREE basket. They are negligent and do not hold them selves responsible for this issue. He said on multiple occasions that "It's not my problem, deal with Uber." I dont feel that a manager should throw the service under the bus while they are the ones who made the product. I really hope that Sam loses his job, and cannot work in the restaurant industry ever again for his negligence and lack of safe food handling procedures in the industry
  
  All the service that I have received from this restaurant has been intolerable. Never again am I ordering or recommending this place again.

  If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I ordered a gluten free basket of fish and chips and they sent me one made with flour. I ate half of it before realizing that it was not gluten free. The owner Sam has no sense of empathy for his customers, I've been off of work now for 2 days, and will probably be missing another 3 since Celiac disease can really take a lot out of you. I really hope that Sam loses his job, and cannot work in the restaurant industry ever again for his negligence and lack of safe food handling procedures in the industry.
